Effectiveness of On-Site Eating Disorder Treatment

Here at Canopy Cove, we’ve been treating women and girls with eating disorders for over thirty years. We’ve realized that each person struggling with an eating disorder has different issues. Canopy Cove is a small, boutique program that provides individualized treatment planning and utilizes specific clinical approaches for each client. One size does not fit all in eating disorder treatment! Each primary therapist develops a plan, that will best suit each of their clients, using different clinical modalities such as DBT, ACT, Experiential Therapy or Equine Therapy. Our clients do recover and we’re there to support them through residential and outpatient treatment.

Our Philosophy

At Canopy Cove, we believe true recovery from an eating disorder IS possible. We know the eating disorder as a symptom of deeper, unresolved issues and our clinical team looks for what those issues are so that they can be taken care of. When this happens, the eating disorder is no longer just “managed,” it begins to be solved. For instance, in many cases, depression and eating disorders go hand in hand, and successful recovery for the eating disorder requires just as much attention to be paid to the depression.

Here at Canopy Cove, we have 30 years of experience working with people with eating disorders. The main reason why we’ve been able to continue to operate our eating disorder residential and outpatient programs is we are able to provide healing and hope to our clients and help them on the road to full recovery.
