Hopefully, those who are struggling with Anorexia eventually get to a point where they recognize that they want to – or need to– seek treatment. If they’ve not sought treatment in the past, one of the questions they are likely to ask is, “How will Anorexia treatment help me?”

At Canopy Cove, we recognize that getting treatment for Anorexia is extremely important and necessary for your health and well-being.

We also believe that finding a treatment center that is a good fit for you is significant to your Recovery.
Overcoming an eating disorder is a long and difficult process filled with detours, however, Recovery is possible.

How will Anorexia treatment help you?

Anorexia treatment helps you to identify, challenge, and overcome the obstacles that your eating disorder has placed in your path. Successful treatment helps you meet the psychological and physical issues associated with Anorexia “head on” (though with the care, guidance and support of experienced psychologists, counselors, nutritionists, doctors and other staff.)

The goal of treatment is for you to be “you” again, free of the eating disorder that had taken control of your life.

What exactly is Anorexia?

Anorexia Nervosa is a serious, potentially life-threatening eating disorder characterized by self-starvation and excessive weight loss. It affects millions of women every year as well as many men and teenagers.

Can Canopy Cove help you with Anorexia treatment?

Here at our eating disorder treatment center, we have created an environment that offers serenity and beauty to help you feel as comfortable as possible.

Our Anorexia treatment program takes place on a beautiful, 55 acre protected property in a secure and non-judgmental home-like setting.  You receive daily treatment and around the clock care with other clients in your age group, either adult or adolescent.

Each day consists of multiple and continuous therapy sessions such as individual, group, equine, spirituality, or dietary, all of which are focused on helping you develop positive coping skills to combat the destructive eating disorder messages.

Our staff is always there to help you through the difficult times such as during meals and when you are feeling homesick.  A serenity walk down the canopied road or a visit with one of our friendly horses right outside the door can bring a sense of peace.  Nature therapy and spirituality are conducted multiple times weekly.  Family therapy and visitations occur during the week as well.
